BSA and the gay lifestyle overlooked.
I totally agree with the Boy Scouts of America on the policy of not allowing Gay leaders. The media is in a frenzy to say the BSA is a bunch of homophobes and haters. That is not true. What is not being covered is the Gay lifestyle is not conductive toward a moral lifestyle that the Boy Scouts profess.
The Boy Scouts of America believe in God as our creator. In Genesis 1:24 "Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife and they become on flesh." The BSA is clear on this, they follow God and any ungodly act they condone.
Giving boys an environment that is safe is also an issue. What kid of lifestyle do Gays promote? Unsafe sex for one. BSA does not even promote premarital sex either for that matter. Boys do not need to be instructed on Sex Ed, that is left up for the parents to decide.
Another part of the Gay lifestyle is cruising, or recruitment for sexual acts. To protect boys from being exposed to the life style, why would BSA even think of letting gays in? There is enough evidence out there on how gays pick up for quickies. Why open the door for sexual abuse on a scout camp out? It is safer if the BSA does not even go there.
Lastly, The Gay community has been linking this BSA decision to Jerry Sandusky's case. If you are gay or strait and you do anal sex, even with a boy it is ungodly. It is a homosexual act and I don't care what your orientation is. It is unhealthy sex and should not be even tolerated, let alone by an organization to promote healthy life styles for boys!

Blogging again?
I have been AWOL from this blog for a few months. My biggest thing was being on FB all the time. It was so time consuming. And when I posted or re-posted political articles not many friends liked them. I found people to be afraid on FB to voice their opinion. And my friends stayed away when I posted things on Obama and Gay marriage. So I'll go back to posting just pictures on FB and make my op-ed stuff here on my BLOG.
I'm going to change the blog name. I haven't been a true NAVY wife for about 5 years since Hubby retired. I'll think up a good one. Just haven't come up with one yet. Back to house chores and post more stuff as I see fit.

More than 50 members of Congress banded together at a press conference to demand legislation to stop the new mandate pro-abortion President Barack Obama put in place forcing religious employers to pay for insurance coverage including birth control and abortion-inducing drugs.
Congressman Jeff Fortenberry held a press conference with supporters of the bipartisan, bicameral Respect for Rights of Conscience Act. His legislation would protect the religious liberty and conscience rights of every American who objects to being forced by the strong-arm of government to pay for drugs and procedures recently mandated by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The Fortenberry bill currently has the support of approximately 220 Members of Congress and Senators, the most strongly-supported legislative remedy to the controversial HHS mandate. This measure would repeal the controversial mandate, amending the 2010 health care law to preserve conscience rights for religious institutions, health care providers, and small businesses who pay for health care coverage.
H.R. 1179 enjoys the endorsements of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, National Right to Life Committee, Americans United for Life, and other organizations. Numerous other organizations, including the Christian Medical Association and Family Research Council, have urged support of the bill.

The Planned Parenthood debacle

Well, sure, if you’re Cecile Richards, the battle ended wonderfully. But I can think of a few people for whom the ending to the funding scuffle wasn’t so “wonderful”:
First and foremost, it wasn’t a “wonderful” ending for the unborn babies who are unable to voice their case to Ms. Richards. Money is fungible and more money for Planned Parenthood means more money for abortions, plain and simple. If even one mother who is on the fence about whether to give birth to her unborn child decides to have an abortion because Komen donations to Planned Parenthood make the procedure that much more easily accessible, then this was the very opposite of a wonderful ending. For that matter, it’s a horrific ending for those undecided mothers, too, who will suffer in ways Ms. Richards would probably prefer not to address.
Secondly, women with breast cancer lost out. Very few Planned Parenthood clinics actually offer mammograms; the money that goes to PP could be more efficiently put to use to combat cancer.
Pro-lifers who would like to be able to donate to the cause of eliminating breast cancer once again have to make a hard choice: Will they support Komen and risk that their dollars might unintentionally fund abortions? Many pro-life would-be donors will opt not to give, which circles back to No. 2: Women with breast cancer will suffer for decreased donations from pro-lifers.
Pro-life personnel at Susan G. Komen also got the shaft. Karen Handel actually flat-out resigned her position. Definitely not such a delightful conclusion to this story for her.

Link here.As reported by the Vatican Insider, a website following Catholic Church news, the report by scientists from Italy’s National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Development says that the “double image (front and back) of a scourged and crucified man, barely visible on the linen cloth of the Shroud of Turin, has many physical and chemical characteristics that are so particular that the staining which is identical in all its facets, would be impossible to obtain today in a laboratory.” The researchers determined that the “inability to repeat (and therefore falsify) the image on the Shroud makes it impossible to formulate a reliable hypothesis on how the impression was made.”

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii – The Dec. 7, 1941, bombing of Pearl Harbor and those who lost their lives that day are being remembered Wednesday on the 70th anniversary of the Japanese attack that brought the U.S. into World War II.
About 120 survivors will join Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, military leaders and civilians to observe a moment of silence in Pearl Harbor at 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time -- the moment the attack began seven decades ago.
About 3,000 people are expected to attend the event held each year at a site overlooking the sunken USS Arizona and the white memorial that straddles the battleship.
The Pearl Harbor-based guided missile destroyer USS Chung-Hoon will render honors to the Arizona and blow its whistle at the start of a moment of silence at 7:55 a.m. -- the same time 70 years ago the first Japanese planes began to attack.
F-22 jets flown by the Hawaii National Guard are due to soar overhead in a missing man formation to finish the moment of silence.
Mal Middlesworth, a Marine veteran who was on the USS San Francisco during the bombing, will deliver the keynote address.
President Obama hailed veterans of the bombing in a statement proclaiming Wednesday "National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day."
"Their tenacity helped define the Greatest Generation and their valor fortified all who served during World War II. As a nation, we look to December 7, 1941, to draw strength from the example set by these patriots and to honor all who have sacrificed for our freedoms," he said.
Also this week, five ash scattering and interment ceremonies are being held for five survivors whose cremated remains are returning to Pearl Harbor after their deaths.
On Tuesday, an urn containing the ashes of Lee Soucy was placed on his battleship, the USS Utah, which is lying on its side near the place where it sank 70 years ago. The ashes of Vernon Olsen, who was on the Arizona during the attack, will be placed on his ship late Wednesday.
The U.S. lost 12 vessels that day, but the Arizona and the Utah are the only ones still sitting in the harbor. The ashes of three others are being scattered in the water in separate ceremonies this week.

This past weekend, the U.S. government confirmed the death of Abu Abd al-Rahman Atiyyat Allah, otherwise known as Atiyya, a senior al Qaeda leader who was likely killed by a drone strike in Waziristan. Although he was not well known outside of jihadi circles, Atiyya played a critical role in al Qaeda. He was a trusted adviser to, and intermediary for, Osama bin Laden and a strategist second only to Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden’s successor. One CIA official told me that Atiyya’s death might prove even more significant than Zawahiri’s would.

The Obama presidency has reduced the liberal left to an apoplectic rage. His Ivy League credentials, superior attitude, pseudointellectual mien and facile adherence to lefty ideology make him the perfect personification of the liberal elite. Thus far at least, he has been an utter failure both at winning public support and at managing the affairs of the nation.
Obama's failure is the failure of the liberal elite, and that is why their ressentiment has reached such intensity. Their ideas, such as they are, are being put to a real-world test and found severely wanting. As a result, their authority is collapsing. And if there is one thing they know deep in their bones, it is that they are entitled to that authority. They lash out, desperately and pathetically, because they have nothing to offer but fear and anger.

The culture war is still with us. An Apple is still 'not' an Orange:
It is important to note that this war is being waged by a distinct minority against several thousand years of human history, and that their agenda has never carried the day when put before the public for a vote. Quite the opposite, actually. Voters in over thirty states have passed marriage amendments to their state constitutions defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Any victories for gay marriage have always been by imposition of a legislature or, more often, via subversion of the political process by the judiciary.
Just prior to the vote on the new marriage law, New York Democrat State Senator Carl Kruger stated that, “what we’re about to do is re-define what the American family is.” At least someone knows what they’re doing and why. Too many conservatives don’t seem awake to it. The fact is, liberals not only want to re-define marriage, but to use the force of law to mandate social approval of a certain type of behavior. To legally force everyone to treat an apple as though it were an orange.

1. Sexual desire is something that can and should be gratified, not restrained. This gratification is known as “health.”
2. One’s sexual “orientation” or “identity”—even one’s “gender”—is a variable thing. Maybe genetics has something to do with it, maybe it comes down to freedom to choose—maybe a little of both. But wherever you wind up, it’s all good. Until you wind up somewhere else, and that’s good too.
3. Everyone is entitled to marry the person he loves (at this particular moment). Coming soon—marriage to the multiple persons one loves!
4. There is no significant difference between men and women with respect to any sexual matter. “Gender” and “identity” are “social constructs,” which we can accept or reject at will.
5. The differentiation of male and female roles is a species of oppression. (Even if you choose the role? What happened to the freedom to choose your identity? Never mind, don’t ask such questions!)
6. “Hooking up” for casual sexual encounters without commitment is just what young people do if left to their own devices. And it is good so to leave them, as these serial relationships are normal and healthy.
7. “Safe sex”—that is, the use of contraception and disease-preventive measures—and consent are the only moral strictures that universally apply to sexual matters.
8. Virginity past one’s late teen years is, well, freakish.
9. Cohabitation before marriage is downright expected, and is a healthy trial run of a relationship.
10. Marriage is optional and certainly not permanent, nor need it be characterized by sexual exclusivity. “Until a loss of interest do us part.” Why should it be work?
11. Out-of-wedlock childbearing is normal and has no adverse consequences, anyway not for you.
12. Abortion is always available, always will be, and has no adverse consequences, anyway not for you. “It’s a woman’s right to choose.”
13. “A family” is whatever we say one is. Who are you to say different?
14. Where children are wanted and nature does not supply, science can make up the deficit at no moral or social cost (albeit considerable financial expense) by sperm donation, egg donation, surrogacy, in vitro fertilization, etc.
15. Any child can have mommies and/or daddies in any number and combination, by blood, marriage, or adoption. There is no harm in any of these possibilities, for children are blank slates, fully adaptable to all adult choices.

Gov. Brown (Moonbeam II) has signed SB 48 into law.

Textbooks now must include information on the role of LGBT Americans, as well as Americans with disabilities, though California’s budget crisis has delayed the purchasing of new books until at least 2015.I think parents who don't approve of this have to unite.
“History should be honest,” Brown, a Democrat, said in a statement. “This bill revises existing laws that prohibit discrimination in education and ensures that the important contributions of Americans from all backgrounds and walks of life are included in our history books.”
The governor called the legislation, SB48, introduced by Sen. Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, “historic.”
The law – the first of its kind in the nation – adds the two groups to an existing list of minority and other groups that are required to be part of the social sciences curriculum.

The Last Vietnam Draftie retires
It is amazing that one man who did not really want to serve had a 39 year career. Thanks to your servce to our country! (here)
He didn't join the Army willingly, but as Command Sgt. Maj. Jeff Mellinger prepares to retire, he's grateful he found his calling.
Mellinger was drafted to fight the Vietnam War, and the Army believes he's the last draftee to retire, after 39 years. Most did their two years and left. But Mellinger had found home.
"I think I'm pretty good at it, but I like it. That's the bottom line. I love being a soldier and I love being around soldiers," he said.

The Israelites knew God had strictly forbidden homosexuality so the idea of trying to sanctify what God called an 'abomination' with marriage would be doubly offensive. Today we flaunt it among our notables as a perfectly normal bit of nascent social ethics. In fact we are very close to tempting God with our worst behavior and defying him to enter into judgment with us. This is dangerous territory.
Those who don't take God's word seriously cannot see the pattern in which God invariably moves, at the same time it is easy to identify the pattern that the scoffers are taking. I think he is wrong in that children in those type of relationships have not been studied enough. And he is wrong about the Bishop also. The Catholic church teaches that the union between a Man and a Woman is a vocation to raise a family. If two same sex people marry its is not a vocation. PEROID.

Gay marriage was sold to many conservatives as the beginning of that process of marriage renewal. Instead, we are seeing quite clearly that victories for gay marriage lead to renewed calls for accepting family diversity under the powerful new “equality” banner institutionalized in marriage law. (Did you see the LA Times story last week that lauded the Census news on family decline on the grounds that Heather can now have three mommies, thanks to separation and re-partnering among lesbian couples? Heck, in a couple of years she can have six mommies. Families are now wonderfully fluid and to fail to applaud that would be narrow-minded bigotry.)
Our children are being re-educated as we speak.

An extremist Islamic group is being held responsible for a series of recent attacks in Nigeria, which have left 16 dead and destroyed the Catholic Cathedral of St. Patrick in the northern capital city of Maiduguri.
“St. Patrick’s Cathedral was seriously damaged, windows and doors destroyed, the whole building was shaken to its foundations by the violence of the explosion,” said Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme of Maiduguri.
On June 7, an armed group suspected to be members of Boko Haram set off a bomb at the cathedral as well as two police stations. The damage is the latest in a series of coordinated attacks by Boko Haram, which claims to seek a more widespread application of sharia (Islamic law) in Africa's most populated nation.
The extremist group – with a name that translates to “Western education is a sin” in the Haussa language – has carried out almost daily attacks in and around Maiduguri in recent months. Its targets have been politicians, law enforcement, and religious and traditional rulers opposed to its ideology.
“The situation in Maiduguri is very tense,” Bishop Doeme told Fides news on June 8, recalling that only “two weeks ago, another Catholic church was the target of an attack with explosives, as well as a secondary school.”

Why SSM harms Tradtional Marriage?

All I can say is being in a "Tradtional Marriage" has saved my sanity. My husband supports me tremendously. We go to church together as a family each Sunday. Our fath in God keeps us going. We are raising two autistic daughter's who we both are thankful for. WE are blessed.
I don't think I or anyone could raise a family with a same sex partner. Children need both a Female Mother and a Male Father. Biological parents are the best for rasing children. We are tired of being Labled as Bigots.

Stop Labling those who believe in Tradtional Marraige
It is widely accepted in all societies that traditional marriage of one man and one woman is by far the best environment for raising children to be well adjusted adults and to raise their own children. Traditional marriage, therefore, is not against something, but "for" the most vulnerable in our society, our children.
The gay community must stop labeling those who disagree with them as bigots and worse, and allow the citizens of Minnesota their right to decide this issue at the ballot box.

Day 2 & 3 Jamestown/Willamsburg
KK was living history in colonial Jamestown and Revolutionary history in Yorktown. I know she spent money in Williamsburg on souvenirs! Today they will be visiting Monticello and Thomas Jefferson's home. On Monday they will be in DC. I'm following the Expedition History website here. The Parks 8th graders are having the time of their life.

KK is on the bus and on the way to LAX!
Hi folks,
I just wanted to let you all know my Daughter is on her 8th grade DC trip. It's ironic its on the weekend the possible government might shut down. But the Expedition History people assured me they have plan B in place if one venue is closed. (Like the Smithsonian or Capital Building).
Today the 8th grade class is leaving LAX at 7:50 am PDT on United Fl#950. They will arrive at Dulles Airport at 3:39 pm EDT. (12:39 pm PDT).
They will board a bus and travel to Williamsburg VA to visit Jamestown Settlement tomorrow.
