Fred Barnes on the signs of a Flailing Presidency

I like Fred Barnes. He knows when a President is Flailing, like BHO.

His points are:
1. His allies are moving to protect the president.
2. The president gets out of town.
3. Top spokesmen dismiss the crisis as a distraction.
4. Administration figures can't keep their stories straight.
5. The president indulges in hyperbole.
Need I say more?

Thanks Lt. Dan we love you!

From CNN here:
For over 35 years, we have had an all-volunteer military. This is a good thing. We want people to serve this country who want to be there and who do it of their own free will -- not because they are drafted and forced into it.

We are lucky we have such people. What would we do if no one wanted to serve to defend the freedoms we all enjoy? And so, I feel the need to do what I can to thank them for that service in order to help keep them strong in tough times. You would be amazed at what a simple thank you will do.

Thanks to you Gary Sinise!
And I too want to thank the troops for their service to our country. God Bless them and their families. There is no greater gift than the service to one's country to protect and defend her.

Governor Palin's Address To The 2009 Special Olympics In Boise, Idaho

Special Olympics crack

I was turned off by Obama when he made remarks about his Grandmother, who raised him calling her a "Typical White Person." We coined that anyone who got dished by Obama as "being thrown under the bus." Now he's throwing special needs kids "under the bus." I know he has apologized. But he has no class at all. Last week it was to make the Veterans who fought and were injured in war to pay for their own medical bills. He backed down when Veteran groups fought back. Don't throw the vets "under the bus." But kids who can't defend themselves, go right "under the bus!" We special needs families are going fight back. I have two ASD daughters. They are really special to me. They both love to be Girl Scouts. And I love to be a brownie leader to the youngest. It's the best thing in the world.
And I love Sarah Palin and how she talks about her Trig too!

The 12 Values

Again from Glen Beck at FoxNews. Here are the 12 Values
• Honesty
• Reverence
• Hope
• Thrift
• Humility
• Charity
• Sincerity
• Moderation
• Hard work
• Courage
• Personal responsibility
• Friendship

Values that will help us out in these tough times I think. Beck got these from scripture and the Founding Fathers. The government should have more responsibility with our tax dollars and stop bailing out companies that are failing and people who can't buy a house (because they don't make enough money to make the payments!)

The nine principles from Glen Beck

From FoxNews here.
1. America is good place, not perfect, but good.

2. I believe in God and He is the center of my life.

3. I must try to be a better, more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and not a guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have. I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree or share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them. They answer to me.

I wonder why not teach these in the classroom? NOT!

No more enemy combatants?

Hath Obama no faith in our military? Tell me Obama, who attacked the WTC? Radical Islam will take out anyone who does not submit or convert. We are not fighting conventional wars like WWII. The enemy is covert, hidden in the population. BHO does not get it at all. Kiss America good bye.

David Limbaugh on Brother Rush

From Townhall here:
Memo to the feckless on the right: When Rush said he hopes Obama fails, his meaning was very clear. He believes the abundantly obvious truth that Obama is trying to restructure America in the image of the central planners and social nihilists: a radical growth in government and consequent reduction in the private sector and individual liberty, a radical relaxation in the war on terror and other national security imperatives, a radical push to diminish American sovereignty in favor of global entities on environmental matters and in deference to United Nations mandates on such distinctly internal matters as how parents raise their children, a radical empowerment of labor unions, a radical boost to the radical pro-abortion industry and death culture, a radical homosexual agenda, and, ultimately, the abject bankruptcy of America.

Rush wants Obama to fail in his unabashed efforts to permanently turn this center-right nation radically toward the left. He does not want America to fail. Rush is unabashedly rooting for America. And anyone with the slightest ability or moral clarity to make mental distinctions understands this.

McGruff gets ruffed up!

(AP) - McGruff the crime dog has been roughed up.

D.C. police say the mascot, who urges children to "take a bite out of crime," became a victim Saturday when a bus driver punched him in the face as he handed fliers to children.

Police say the Metro bus driver, 38-year-old Shawn Brim, climbed off the bus, adjusted both sideview mirrors and then swung at Officer Tyrone Hardy, who was dressed as McGruff.

Police say McGruff staggered, children screamed and the bus driver drove off. Officers quickly pulled him over and charged him with assault.

Metro spokeswoman Candace Smith says Brim told a supervisor he was trying "to be funny." Smith says Brim will undergo drug and alcohol testing. His future with the agency is under review.

Rush at CPAC

From Rush at CPAC:
Let me tell you who we conservatives are: We love people. [Applause] When we look out over the United States of America, when we are anywhere, when we see a group of people, such as this or anywhere, we see Americans. We see human beings. We don't see groups. We don't see victims. We don't see people we want to exploit. What we see -- what we see is potential. We do not look out across the country and see the average American, the person that makes this country work. We do not see that person with contempt. We don't think that person doesn't have what it takes. We believe that person can be the best he or she wants to be if certain things are just removed from their path like onerous taxes, regulations and too much government. [Applause]

We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. [Applause] We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life. [Applause] Liberty, Freedom. [Applause] And the pursuit of happiness. [Applause] Those of you watching at home may wonder why this is being applauded. We conservatives think all three are under assault. [Applause] Thank you. Thank you.
