15 British sailors captured by Iran

HMS Cornwall
The 15 British Navy personnel captured at gunpoint in the Gulf serve on board HMS Cornwall, a Type-22 Broadsword-class frigate.

That vessel arrived in the northern Gulf on 12 March.

On board, Commodore Nick Lambert is commanding the task force on his fourth tour of the region.
The Cornwall was commissioned by Diana, Princess of Wales in 1988.

UPDATE: The captured British sailors are in Tehran now.

The British government says the eight sailors and seven marines were in Iraqi waters. It has called for their immediate release.

The Fars news agency says the group - including one woman - was flown to Iran's capital and arrived in the Iranian capital at 1200 local time.

We hope and pray they will be returned safely. They are NAVY and our brothers and sister (one of the 15 is a woman sailor).
